Nice to e-meet you! My name is Yu-Han. I am from Taiwan and settled in Sydney, Australia.

In Bubble Foodex! You will find:

I love trying new food and exploring recipes from different cultures. However, I am aware that there are some language and cultural barriers. Bubble Foodex! is here to break through language and cultural barriers—cooking without borders!

As a person who uses English as a second language, I understand that reading recipes in English can be overwhelming. In Bubble Foodex!, I aim to break through this language barrier. I ensure my recipes are written in plain English, so no big words make you check an English dictionary. I also know that skimming and scanning the recipe can be hard when using English as a second language. Therefore, I will keep my sentences short and make them easier to read.

As a Taiwanese person, I would love to introduce you to the beauty of Taiwanese cuisine. Japan colonised Taiwan for half a century, from 1895 to 1945, so Japanese food is also popular and infused into Taiwanese food culture. After settling in Australia, I enjoyed exploring diverse cultures’ food.

I want to break through the cultural barriers in Bubble Foodex! My recipes will explain each cooking step and detailed tips for choosing ingredients. I understand that not everyone is familiar with specific ingredients or seasonings in certain food cultures. Moreover, I know different cultures have different restrictions on the choice of ingredients, so I will provide alternatives in my recipes. Of course, I will also provide some little story behind each recipe. Some of them may be about the history of the food, and the other can be my connection with them.

About the connection with food, the recipes from Granny and Mom play an essential role. I want to pass this legacy down and share it with the world. I will start by sharing my Granny and Mom recipes, and I am looking forward to collecting Granny and Mom recipes from my readers and audiences.

As a foodie, I also created a section in Bubble Foodex! to share my food adventures. Since I live in Sydney, a lot of them will be there. If you are in Sydney, I hope this information can give you some ideas when looking for a place to dine out.

Bubble Milk Tea

Bubble Milk Tea is my pet bunny. I always call him Bubble. He is a black-and-white rabbit that looks like black pearls in the bubble milk tea. Bubble has a sensitive tongue and he only loves premium fruits and fresh vegetables. Bubble’s favourite food is bananas because it is sweet.
